David and Janet Hileman have generously given their time and money to the Tyrone and Central PA communities for decades. In 2018, they were awarded the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation’s Philanthropy Award.
David spent 46 years in the dairy farming industry before going on to provide guidance and sharing his experience on the boards of many local, regional, and national organizations. Janet began her career in accounting, as well as maintain the financial records for The Hileman’s Hilecrest Farm.
David and Janet are passionate about encouraging the 4-H programs and other youth focused groups. It is this passion, that drives their support of local youth via the David and Janet Hileman Scholarships. They have given over 200 scholarships to area high school seniors since 2006. In any given year, it is not uncommon for the Hilemans to provide scholarships for various categories to over 25 area seniors.
